Pausing
Mar 27, 2024We live in a "noisy" world, not only audible noise, but noisy in terms of demands for time and energy from us. We rise to the occasion and do all that is needed. I don't really need to discuss all the many sirens that call for attention, as they vary with each of us,, but the feelings of weariness, lowered energy and maybe even sleeplessness can thwart any quick recovery of our usual vitality..
As women in these Midlife years, we also experience physical changes, and changes in our home and friend situations. "When will all this stop??" I wonder when I am feeling severely stressed.
The answer is to slow the pace of life down, deliberately. To simply pause, make a few moments in a day, or take a few hours away for the usual circumstances of life to recharge and refresh.
When I was younger with teens/young adults still at home that was I was finishing up with homeschool, I was able to find a camera and began to take what I called "Picture days". This was sully a small local trip with camera in hand to enjoy seeing the world through the camera lens. It brought a great deal of joy.
Sometimes a smaller amount of time will be required, but can still be filled with delight-filled activity to bring a smile or sense of peacefulness. The options are limitless, so open the doors of new possibility and find a more refreshed YOU
