So...what is the difference?

Apr 10, 2025

On my business page recently, I asked  about the difference between posture and alignment., and why that is important  as we approach midlife and beyond. There is a difference in that alignment has more to do with how our posture impacts our bones and joints over time.  As we progress through the years, how we have been holding our body will impact our balance and flexibility. I believe the we all want to be our functional best to handle the tasks of everyday, as well as maintain or even improve movement

   Important to know:

Good posture =shoulders over squared hips over knees, head gently sits on top with chin level to floor . This helps reduce muscle imbalances, overuse injuries and those annoying "aches and pains"

Walking, swimming ( to decrease jarring of joints) are two great ways to maintain strength and postural support in midlife. It is important to stay mobile as we take on life's adventures.
